All of the knives by Ruddock Bros. have a high carbon content, making them some of the most eye catching knives on the market. High carbon steel knives need to be maintained just like any other high quality tool, in this case to prevent rust when stored. We recommend keeping the knives lightly lubricated with our food grade mineral oil, which can also be used for sharpening with a whetstone. Our kit includes soft, organic cotton patches for application and wiping, and an aluminum spray bottle with 4 ounces of oil.
